After getting the motorcycle, which I will be covering in another post on shipping, I decided on staying one more day in Cape Town to make the final adjustments to the motorcycle. As I had ridden without mirrors the day before (I just wanted to leave the depot faster), I had to put them on. Also, I had to dismantle the fairing because the nut that held one of the screws of the windshield fell down.
I put everything back together and mounted the GPS tracker, then I went for a test ride and filled up the tank with gas. On my way back, I stopped on the beach near Milton to watch the sunset, which was spectacular to say the least. I had a quick chat with Vincent, a fellow rider with a lot of kilometers under his belt.
I went home and finished packing all this stuff up.
I fell asleep at 2, determined to wake up early next morning to hit the road.
